The Western Bulldogs rate Rob Murphy a chance to play this weekend against Port Adelaide in Darwin after being a late withdrawal from Friday's Richmond game.
Murphy missed the Richmond match due to a hamstring problem which Bulldogs football operations manager Jason Fantasia says was only a precautionary measure.
"He'll have a test later in the week. The withdrawal was because there was still a bit of uncomfortableness, and rather than risk anything, we just felt it was maybe better to be cautious and wait rather than rush it," Fantasia said.
"We'll consider taking him to Darwin. He's been in all the training, and it was just precautionary why we held off on him on Friday."
It is believed the Bulldogs will take 23 players to the Top End, with DT fave Lindsay Gilbee nursing a bruised ankle as well, leaving the door open for a late change.
Also forward Scott Welsh is available for selection again, after serving a one-match suspension.
