- Popular St Kilda defender Sam Gilbert could miss another match with back soreness. Gilbert missed Saints training on Tuesday and worryingly St Kilda coach Ross Lyon said this, "We're in a position to be more conservative as opposed to aggresive." Gilbert may not be risked.
- Also from St Kilda there was an injury scare for Leigh Montagna but he should play, with Lyon saying, "Montagna’s pretty keen to keep his form going. We’ll see how the week unfolds.”
- Port Adelaide's $405k midfielder Dom Cassisi will play this weekend despite a depression in his frontal sinus. Port confirmed Cassisi's injury is minor but he'll wear a helmet this weekend.
- Essendon look likely to regain Alwyn Davey and Mark McVeigh for this weekend's clash with Brisbane but Matty Lloyd (heel) and Jason Winderlich (back) will miss. Bombers coach Matt Knights said on Tuesday, "Davey and McVeigh will be up for selection and we'll have a look at them this afternoon.
- Carlton's Mr. Late-withdrawal Michael Jamison could miss the rest of the season with a groin problem. Blues coach Brett Ratten said, "Will he be right for the following week? Is he out for the year? I don't know, we're sort of just sitting here and waiting."
- Brisbane Lions have listed young $193k def/fwd Lachie Henderson as out for 3-4 weeks with a foot injury. The news is a fresh injury blow for Henderson.
