Western Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade has revealed mixed news about important forward pair Rob Murphy and Shaun Higgins.
$347k fwd Murphy, who is owned by over 8,000 DT coaches, and $345k mid/fwd Higgins, who is owned by just over 111,000 DT coaches both injured their hamstrings in the weekend's loss to St Kilda.
And Eade revealed, "Higgins had a scan and we're hoping two, but it could maybe be three.
"Robert looks more likely one, but maybe two. If you're looking at percentages, Higgins is 60-40 to be a three-weeker, and Murphy is probably 60-40 to be a one-weeker.
"[Murphy's] is not the same hamstring and it's not in the same spot; it's down low. He hasn't done any damage to the muscle, so that's why we're positive it might only be the one week."
Some good news for DTers is $315k defender Lindsay Gilbee is believed to be available for this weekend's clash with Fremantle after being a late withdrawal against the Saints for personal reasons.
Eade also added about other possible replacements, "Brennan Stack, Andrejs Everitt, Tim Callan, Guy O'Keefe and Wayde Skipper … those sorts of guys will be in the mix. Jarrad Grant will be in the mix too."
