Popular $418k West Coast ruckman Dean Cox is in doubt for the rest of the AFL season after struggling with groin soreness in Sunday's loss to St Kilda.
West Coast coach John Worsfold admitted Cox, who is owned by just under 99,000 DT coaches, would need to consult the club's medical staff about his 2009 future.
"His groin got sore, and we limited his ruck work and game time in that second half,” said Worsfold.
“It got sore so quickly, which was disappointing. We'll have to work out what the best program is for him.
"I'm not sure what it will mean - that's a medical decision really. We were obviously hopeful he wouldn’t get sore during the game, but he did by half time. You would expect that he will struggle to play next week."
