- Port Adelaide's $308k def/mid Chad Cornes is reportedly okay after a knee scare in Q4 of yesterday's Showdown. Port assistant coach Matt Primus said today, “His knee injury was nothing to do with the problem he had earlier in the year. He just copped a kick right in the middle of the kneecap and it got real sore. He was at recovery today and he said it was feeling better than it was."
- Essendon are claiming injury worries to a few players shouldn't rule them out of next week. Bombers footy manager Paul Hamilton said, "I think (Jobe) Watson, (Mark) McVeigh, (Andrew) Lovett, they all got corkies of some description. We're monitoring them but we're hoping they'll all be okay." Hamilton also said Matty Lloyd could miss up to 4 weeks with a heel problem.
- Good news for the 18,000 DT coaches who own Brisbane's $259k fwd Daniel Bradshaw. The Lions have him listed on their injury list today as only missing another week, suggesting he'll be back a week earlier than expected in Round 19.
- Adelaide's gun $381k midfielder Tyson Edwards is reportedly ready to return to action after a hamstring injury. The Crows face Geelong this weekend.
- North Melbourne's $338k midfield skipper Adam Simpson will retire after this Friday's clash with Carlton. Almost 3,000 DT coaches own him, so lads, trade him in.
