- West Coast pair Daniel Kerr ($240 mid) and Nick Naitanui ($158k ruck) have dropped out of the Eagles' 25 for this weekend's clash with St Kilda. The Eagles say Kerr has an abdominal strain and Naitanui a glute problem. $220k forward Ash Hansen and $114k midfielder Tom Swift will replace them in the 25.
- Disaster for up-and-coming Adelaide youngster Shaun McKernan after he broke his arm on the eve of his second game this weekend. Crows footy operations manager John Reid said the $86k def/fwd would miss a minimum of 6 weeks. $260k midfielder Robert Shirley will replace McKernan in the 22.
- Essendon's gun $378k midfielder Jobe Watson has passed a fitness test on his troublesome ankle and could face Sydney this weekend. But Bombers footy operations manager Paul Hamilton said they'd make a decision on his availability on Saturday morning.
- Port Adelaide coach Mark Williams claims gun $365k midfielder Shaun Burgoyne should be back within 3 weeks. Burgoyne has struggled with bone bruising in his knee since Round 3.
