• Dockers coach Mark Harvey has hinted he may rest popular young duo Stephen Hill ($230k) and Nick Suban ($179k) soon. Harvey said, "I'm going to have to [rest them], just to do the right thing by them. Suban and Hill have carried the weight the whole year so far."

• Collingwood have insisted $300k skipper Nick Maxwell will be available next week despite breaking his nose on Friday night. Pies footy manager Geoff Walsh said, "He’ll be fine to play, there’s no problem there. He had it straightened out on Saturday morning so he’s okay.”

• Hawthorn may welcome back injured pair Cyril Rioli ($323k) and Trent Croad ($182k) soon. Hawks midfielder Sam Mitchell said, “I think we get Cyril back this week, which will be good. Trent is getting closer, he’s doing a fair bit of running and a bit of training over the last couple of weeks.”
